Pipe Relining & Trenchless Repair — Hornsby & Northern Sydney

Fix cracked, broken or root-damaged pipes without digging up your yard. Structural epoxy lining creates a new pipe inside the old one — 50-year design life, completed in a single day.

What Is Pipe Relining?

Pipe relining is a trenchless (no-dig) method of repairing damaged underground pipes without excavation. Instead of digging a trench to expose and replace the pipe, we insert a flexible liner coated with structural epoxy resin through an existing access point. The liner is inflated against the pipe walls and cured in place — creating a seamless new pipe inside the old one.

The result is a structurally independent pipe with a 50-year design life, completed in a single day, with no damage to your driveway, garden, landscaping or building foundations.

Why Pipe Relining Is Ideal for Northern Sydney

Northern Sydney properties face two challenges that make pipe relining particularly valuable:

1. Mature trees and aggressive root systems. The established eucalyptus, turpentine and fig trees across Wahroonga, Turramurra, Pymble, Gordon and Hornsby have root systems that aggressively seek moisture. Clay sewer pipes (common in homes built before 1980) have joints every 600mm — each one a potential root entry point. Relining seals every joint permanently.

2. Established gardens and heritage landscaping. Many Northern Sydney properties have mature gardens, sandstone retaining walls, and established landscaping that would cost tens of thousands to restore after excavation. Relining avoids all surface disruption.

Our Pipe Relining Process

Every pipe relining job follows the same diagnostic-first process:

  1. CCTV inspection: We insert a camera to map the entire pipe — identifying the location, type and severity of all damage
  2. High-pressure cleaning: We jet the pipe at up to 5,000 PSI to remove roots, scale, grease and debris
  3. Measurement and preparation: We measure the pipe diameter, length and bend angles to cut the liner to exact specifications
  4. Liner installation: The resin-saturated liner is pulled or inverted into position, then inflated with air pressure
  5. Curing: The epoxy resin cures over 2–4 hours, forming a rigid structural pipe
  6. Final CCTV inspection: We re-inspect the entire lined section to confirm full adhesion and clear flow

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does pipe relining last?

The structural epoxy liner has a 50-year design life, backed by a 25-year product warranty from the liner manufacturer.

Can you reline pipes under a driveway or building?

Yes — we access the pipe from an existing inspection opening or cleanout, so there is no need to excavate under driveways, slabs or building foundations.

Is pipe relining suitable for old clay pipes?

Yes — clay pipes are the most common candidate for relining in Northern Sydney. The liner bridges cracked sections, seals joints, and creates a smooth internal surface that resists future root intrusion.

Will relining stop tree roots from coming back?

Yes. The cured liner creates a seamless, jointless pipe with no entry points for roots. Unlike traditional repairs that leave joints every 600mm, a relined pipe has zero root entry points.

What suburbs do you cover for pipe relining?

We cover all of Northern Sydney including Hornsby, Waitara, Wahroonga, Turramurra, Pymble, Gordon, Killara, Lindfield, Roseville, Chatswood, Lane Cove, North Sydney, Asquith, Mt Colah, Thornleigh, Pennant Hills and surrounding areas.
